VIDEO: JOE JOHNSON LEAD TRIPLETS TO FIRST BIG3 TITLE

On Sunday all eyes were on former NBA All-Star Joe Johnson and the Triplets, a new BIG3 expansion team coached by 2X WNBA champion Lisa Leslie,  for the highly-anticipated BIG3 championship matchup against Charles Oakley's Killer 3's team, led by former NBA champion Stephen Jackson.

Johnson who was named the league's MVP and also leads the league in scoring, assists, and 4-points made did not disappoint. He finished with 28 points, six rebounds and three assists; including sinking the game-winning 3-pointer over Stephen Jackson to win the BIG3 Championship game 50-39 for the Triplets.




In his first season playing with the BIG3, Johnson has proven he can still play professional basketball at a high level. According to multiple reports, Johnson has received interest from teams like the LA Clippers, Milwaukee Bucks, Denver Nuggets, New Orleans Pelicans, and Philadelphia 76ers. 

So what's next for Joe Johnson? 

In a post-game interview with Girls Talk Sports TV's Khristina Williams, Johnson confirmed that he is working out for more NBA teams, and said that he is, "Just taking it one day at a time."
